Bottom Tub Grates for grooming and bathing of larger animals
Two standardized sizes of bottom-style tub grates are offered by RACS. These sizes are as follows: 36 inches x 18 inches x 2.5 inches and 36 inches x 21 inches x 2.5 inches. The bottom-style grates are perfect for large tubs with rounded interior corners. The inset legs on the grates give clearance of about 1.5 inches to accommodate these interior corners. Sitting on the grate’s legs allows the full weight of the animal to be distributed throughout the strong steel, polyvinyl-coated structure of the tub grate and onto the solid surface where the tub will be housed during the process.
The surface of these top style grates offer significant drainage to help dirt, soap suds, and hair drain through the openings into the bottom of the tub making cleaning large animals much easier. The surface is an expanded metal design. Because of the large size of these grates and how well they fit into large grooming tubs, messes can be contained and the anti-slip properties of the coating helps to ensure the safety of large animals that might be skittish around water or grooming tools.
